Steps to become a Mobilized Volunteer with Pennsylvania FCA

Are you interested in becoming a huddle leader, character coach, huddle sponsor, board member or volunteer at one of our camps or events? We pursue the mission of FCA by mobilizing our volunteers to become disciple makers in their sport environment and in their community. 

Step 1: Connect with your Local FCA Staff

If you aren't already connected with your local FCA Staff, use the button below to locate the staff assigned to your area.

These next steps are to be completed after meeting with an FCA Staff Member and expressing your desire to become a volunteer with FCA. 

Step 2: Complete a Ministry Leaders Application (MLA)

  • Click on the button above and create an account. 
  • Complete the process of filling out the MLA (takes approximately 20 mins or less).
  • The MLA will prompt you to include the control numbers for your PA Background Clearances. If you do not already have your PA Background Clearances, using a computer go to the link below, read the instructions carefully, and fill out the corresponding PA Background Checks. Be sure to save copies of your clearances.
  •  If you are under 18, you may skip this step for now by entering 0000 in as your control number. We will need you to re-do your MLA and submit clearances once you turn 18.
  • Submit your MLA for approval.
  • Your FCA staff will review your MLA with you at your first meeting.

Step 3: Complete the E3 Overview Course on FCA University.

This course will introduce you to our ministry strategy, which is a series of principles, patterns, and tools founded on the ministry of Jesus.

  • Click on button above and create an account. *Please include your zip code.
  • Go to the course library and select "E3 Overview."
  • Start and complete the course (takes 30 minutes).
  • Once you complete the course, notify your FCA contact and agree on a time to discuss what you have learned in the E3 Overview Course

Step 4: Submit your PA Background Clearances

  • If you are over 18, please email your clearances to your FCA Contact. You should have three documents to send. See our page with information and instructions
